Celery Juice and Candida Imbalance: Worth the Hype?

Why Celery Juice is Essential for Healing Candida Imbalance

The celery juice craze— you’ve heard of it, right?

It is ALL over Instagram and comes from the work and teaching of the Medical Medium, Anthony William.

If you’re keeping up with the trend, you’ve heard claims that celery juice can heal gut health and increase essential acids in the stomach. Anthony William compares its miraculous effects to the spiritual insights from God.

When it comes down to the studies on celery juice and its effects, there isn’t much out there. But when a healing cure apparently comes directly from God— do you think it’s time to consider adding it into your routine?

Today I’m going to elaborate a bit about my journey with celery juice, and explain why it is essential for healing your Candida imbalance and ANY other gut alignment you might have.

Trust me, you’ll want to get on this trend.

My Routine

My regimen is ideal for people with busy mornings and for those of us who roll their eyes at the idea of another thing to do in the AM.

The idea of increasing healthy levels of acid in the stomach with food is so appealing to me, but I don’t have the time to add this extra step to my morning! So, I discovered my own way to incorporate celery juice.

Ideally, you should consume fresh celery juice on an empty stomach. Then, 20-30 minutes after the celery juice, go about your normal eating routine! BUT— I don’t own a juicer, and I have quite a demanding work schedule. I still want the benefits of the juice— so I meal prep it!  Here’s how I do it.

Preparing the Juice

I prepare the juice by washing the celery stalks, and then by cutting and blending them in a high-quality blender (fiber and all).

Then I place the blended mixture in mason jars for up to 3 days.

In the mornings, I take a nut milk bag and drain the juice from the fiber.

 It’s good to go!

To me, wellness should be achievable for all individuals, and if something doesn’t quite blend with your lifestyle, there’s room for adjustments! Rather than losing all the benefits from this protocol— I integrate.

Please note that I do recommend fresh juice when it can be done, but if your mornings are as crazy as mine, this may work for you!

Does Celery Juice Actually Work?

Now, time to tackle the science of celery juice. Celery, when juiced and consumed on an empty stomach, produces acid called: hydrochloric acid. This acid is essential when you are trying to repair your gut. If you are healing Candida or a bacteria imbalance in your gut, intestines or orally— this is essential. They all are connected via the Microbiome.

Hydrochloric acid is an important aspect when speaking of the gut lining. When healing and repairing itself, having a healthy lining in your gut is essential for your microbial community to stay healthy and happy.

This balance is crucial for your healthy bacteria to overpower your “bad” bacteria or unwanted yeast/parasites.

Celery juice is also said to help acne and Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). This is due to the intricate connection to the microbiome.

So, is the hype worth it? What about science? There are no studies on celery juice or its effects. However, you can learn more about celery juice’s hydrochloric acid and antioxidant behavior here
